§ 2-72. Purpose and intent.

It is the intent of this chapter to promote, protect, and improve the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of the town by authorizing the creation of the position of Special Magistrate for code enforcement proceedings, with the authority to impose administrative fines and other non-criminal penalties in addition to the implementation of supplemental code enforcement procedures provided for in F.S. § 162.21 et seq., in order to provide an equitable, expeditious, effective, and inexpensive method of enforcing any codes and ordinances in force in the town where a pending or repeat violation exists.
