§ 5-10. Revocation of BTR and/or permit authorizing live entertainment.

Latest version.
  • Any BTR and/or permit authorizing live entertainment issued pursuant to this chapter may be revoked by action of the Medley Town Council for violation of any ordinance or resolution of the town or law of the State of Florida or any of its departments or agencies, in addition to any other penalties provided by the Town Code. However, no BTR and/or permit authorizing live entertainment shall be revoked by the Town Council until the holder has been notified of the proposed revocation and a public hearing has been conducted to consider such action and the holder has been given the opportunity to present relevant evidence or testimony to the Medley Town Council. After consideration of the matter, and allowing the person to be heard, the Medley Town Council may revoke or condition the BTR and/or permit authorizing live entertainment. Should the BTR or permit be revoked or conditioned, the person or vendor may seek review of the revocation or conditions after six months, before the Medley Town Council. The Town Council may then modify or refuse to modify its action. Only one such review shall be allowed within a 12-month period, commencing with the date of revocation or imposition of conditions.
