§ 44-9. Employees shall sign in, sign out on worksheet.

(a)

All employees of the town will sign a worksheet when reporting to work indicating the time such entry is made. Any employees of the town, when leaving the town hall, shall sign out on the worksheet indicating the time of their departure, where they are going and the time of their return. At the completion of the workday, employees of the town will sign out on the worksheet indicating the time of their departure. Failure of any employee of the town to comply with this requirement, or the falsification of the worksheet, shall subject the employee to a suspension of three days.

(b)

The provisions of subsection (a) of this section shall not apply to police officers on patrol duty who will continue to maintain their regular duty log.

(c)

For the purpose of this section, the work area for the public works department and the water department located at the town hall facility and grounds shall be considered the town hall.

(d)

Employees of the Parks and Recreation Department shall sign in and out at the recreation hall in the same manner as if their place of work were the town hall.
