§ 44-14. Town departments.

  • (a)

    There shall be five departments in the town which departments are:

    (1)

    Administrative.

    (2)

    Police.

    (3)

    Water.

    (4)

    Public Works.

    (5)

    Parks and Recreation.

    (b)

    Each department shall have its own department head who is responsible only to the Town Council as represented by the Mayor. All requests for work to be done will be directed to each department head, or his designee, by the Mayor. Each department head shall be responsible for his own department. No department head may assign any work to employees of another department without first obtaining approval of the other department head or, in the absence of the other department head, without first obtaining approval of the Mayor.
