§ 2-88. Building Official authority.

The Building Official, and/or designee, shall have the authority, equal in dignity, to that of a Code Compliance Officer to issue a notice of violation or citation to a violator pursuant to this article, when, based upon personal investigation, the Building Official or designee has reasonable cause to believe that the violator committed a violation of chapter 11 of the Code, Building and Building Regulations, or any applicable building codes, as may be amended from time to time.
