§ 23-1. Vacancy in candidacy.

  • If a vacancy in candidacy exists caused by death, withdrawal or removal from the ballot of a qualified candidate following the end of the qualifying period set forth in the charter of the town, article VII, section 6, leaving fewer than two candidates for such office, the remaining candidate on the ballot for such office shall run unopposed.
