§ 14-72. Restrictions on parking or stopping.

  • (a)

    No person owning or operating an industrial mobile food catering vehicle shall stop or park his/her vehicle on any street or within the public right-of-way nor in any other place or in any manner so as to constitute a danger or hazard to other vehicles or pedestrian traffic.

    (b)

    No person owning or operating an industrial mobile food catering vehicle shall have an exclusive right to transact business from any particular location within the town and any licensee or permittee, in compliance with this article shall have the equal right to transact business at any location within the town.

    (c)

    Any person owning or operating an industrial mobile food catering vehicle under the terms of this article shall not be permitted to remain at any one location within the limits of the town for a period of time in excess of 30 minutes from the time the vehicle is initially parked or stopped at such location.

    (d)

    A person owning or operating an industrial mobile food catering vehicle shall be permitted to transact business out of the industrial mobile food catering vehicle, on private property provided however that such vehicle does not remain parked for more than 30 minutes at any one location.

    (e)

    Any person owning or operating an industrial mobile food catering vehicle shall be permitted to transact business on private property only after obtaining express written consent and permission of the owner or town of such private property which consent shall be made a part of the license application.

    (f)

    Notwithstanding the provisions of subsections (c) and (d) above, any owner and/or operator of an industrial mobile food catering vehicle can be ordered to immediately move from any location within the town limits if, in the opinion of a town police officer or Town Code Enforcement Officer the person owning and/or operating the industrial mobile food catering vehicle is not abiding by any provision of the Town Code and/or creating a hazard or danger to vehicular and/or pedestrian traffic.
